I have two big software ideas.

1. an app that does messaging, chat, and blogstyle posting, that can for instance use google, for indexing, searching and grouping after keywords and find similar posts, to meet likeminded people. Kind of a internet´esque decentralized social networking app, without the brand-names and advertising. And with videophoning, and all cool things. Sitting in start/launch bar. Instead ofcourse if you write a product review, similar reviews will come up, or be searchable, and you will get peoples opinions, and advertising won´t even be neccesary. Instead maybe even the creator of the products blog post, will show up, describing everything without inane marketing gimmicks.

And doing away with old standards, and just rewriting these ideas efficiently after the core  ideas. With an efficient and fast database for the purpose, which should be named CoolBase. And the whole app might be called “Millennium Individuals Network”. Maybe. And could even be interfaced with banktransactions, government transactions, school grades, job offers, etc.

Unfortunately I am working on too many projects already. But ofcourse I can always advice and convey my ideas, to someone who would like to realize them. Ofcourse then as Beneficient Open-Source.

2. A sequencer for linux. Before the millenniumshift, Logic Audio was THE sequencer, for windows and mac. And no alternative existed for linux. Most of the design-decisions at the time in Logic where very good. It did what it did, and well. Not bloated, but well-featured. And when the audioside started to include virtual plugins, many of these were quite good.

Today I have better DSP myself. And Logic on MAC, still has many old plugins, and they have even made some optimizations, that I do not agree with at all. Reducing control rate, which can give a dull transient.

I would like to make a sequencer, that does samplerate processing throughout the signalchain, at atleast 64 bits. And while we are at it, optimize for low-latency, and try to achieve 0.2ms latency. With a mixing engine, polling virtual instrument plugins and effect plugins, also HD-tracks, and busses (that can do self-feedback). With a good mixing engine like this, and a good sequencer-engine, one can do something as good as Logic, and with my effects, even higher quality sound.

And also here dropping all old standards, and just rewriting everything efficiently as a compact DAW.

I have also used Logic Audio a long time, and really optimized my workflow. Logics GUI is very user-definable.

It´s quite compact and does most things I want. Maybe in an app, the mixerview could be clicked on to expand and view all mixertracks etc.

Would be kool wouldn´t it. And eventually if the signalpath is written well, it may be used system-wide, and replace the lad (logic audio developers) stuff, that seems quite outdated and hobbyish. I mean only on linux do you have “Barrys Satan Maximizer” that has so much distortion, that satan is burning with pride. And the LADSPA standard is trash, and the laddies at lad mailing-list, does not recognize the excellence of my DSP. Well most atleast. They think KvR is good, which never has recognized talent or excellence their whole life. Indeed when discussing on LAD, a GAY contact me, emailed me on my contact email, bypassing my IQ-lock of numbers. Which did suprise me. But that shows that even gays, can accomplish something if they concentrate on something else than toilets. And ofcourse be their own deviant selves, of repulsive emailing. Which does make me feel good about Islam, and deathpenalties for gays. Which I think will come quicker in the west, the more these people harass. So they are just speeding it up, as I indeed did tell him. For him to indeed continue being inane, also stalking me on youtube, which is very typical of gays. That is unfortunately the internet we have, and as long as people live in fantasyworlds, thinking LAD-group protects them or otherwise, it will be like this. Thus also the decentralized app I talked about first, which removes that kind of mindset, and establishes a more personal internet, without brandnames and images these people take as gods.

And the second app, ofcourse requires skilled coders/engineers. But I can supervise the whole thing, and have already made the highest of quality DSP-plugins.

And ofcourse it should be written according to a principle of least obscurity. And no “buzzword”-exaggarations. Not “massively” multithreaded, or singlethreaded, but enough threads, that make things go well. Etc. And no exaggarated programming paradigms. We don´t need to write a framework, for all possible situations. But it does exactly what it does.

And linux-kernel is very close to 0.2ms for audio these days. Maybe core parts will have to be optimized for it, but then again CPUs are improving aswell. So linux will be the target platform, but ofcourse it is open-source and having compilation options for windows, is fine by me. Or even if people want to develop this on windows, it is the same to me.

But ultimately it is going to run on linux, and make as good sound as I do in windows/logic. Better really, since that is 32bit, and a lot of old plugins. (Most of which is replaced by my DSP these days though.)

And it could be called “Millennium DAW”. I will ofcourse also write bread and butter DSP stuff, if neccesary.
